Drop Ship Company – Five Tips When Selecting

Posted by

The number of people interested to venture into online business is continuously increasing. Starting your business with a reliable drop ship company is very beneficial. No need to keep stocks and no need to invest money. You only need marketing effort. Although beneficial, the real hard word starts from selecting the best drop ship company. Choosing the wrong one will mean a bad start of business–and that is bad luck. Below are some tips when selecting the most reliable dropship company as a business partner:

1. Pick a drop ship company that does not charge license or membership fees. There are companies that charge high fees. You must study the company thoroughly and make comparative analysis. Determine if there are hidden charges, too.

2. Pick a shipping company that posts whether the product is in stock or not. It should state the number of products left and mention if their stocks are running out.

3. Pick a company with excellent company service and has a clear and efficient return policy. That will help you in your own return policy, because in most cases, you can only return products to your suppliers after the items are returned to you.

4. Study the prices of drop shipping companies. Do not believe shipping companies that are claiming to offer the lowest wholesale price. Do your homework and research about the product’s market value. Only through this that you can determine how much you will earn with the dropshipper’s products.

5. Pick a drop ship company that has excellent item descriptions and clear product images. It is ideal that the company must offer multiple images of every product so you can highlight different perspective of the products. For instance, every product should not only have a front picture. It should also have its back, side, top, and bottom picture. Remember, you will sell online and images matter a lot. These serve as the product’s sample. People cannot see and touch the product personally. So, they will depend on how the pictures look like when they shop online. An unattractive image can ruin your product’s image, and so your business.

These great 5 tips will certainly help anyone on how to find a drop ship company. Just be focused and determined. You will attain success in your online business as long as you have a reliable partner you can depend on.

Building An Online Business From Home – 8 Top Tips To Save Time And Stress

Posted by

If you are already building an online business from home or you are thinking about starting one, you will already know that it is easier said than done. In fact the failure rate with online businesses can be as high as 97%. The following article will provide invaluable information to help you succeed.

Reasons for failure when building an online business from home are numerous, the majority of people in my opinion fail because of unrealistic expectation levels to begin with, along with failing to treat their business as exactly that a business. So here are my top tips to help you succeed with your online business.

1) Find a mentor – Someone who you can turn to for advice who has done what you would like to achieve, this is so important. Take your advice from people who know what they are talking about and are proven in the industry you want to get involved in.

2) Define your target market – So simple yet so few people take the time to sit down and think about who is the ideal person to purchase their products. Unfortunately not everyone is a prospect for your business, thinking that they are could end up costing you a lot of money. Be as specific as possible, this will help you direct your marketing message so much more effectively.

3) Network with like-minded individuals – Form a mastermind group, or join one. Building an online business can be a very lonely experience, get out of the house and meet other people who share your vision and goals. The advice, tips and strategies you will pick up for free will amaze you.

4) Choose a quality product – Make sure you are selling a quality product, have you used it yourself first, does it work, is it a good price for what you get. If you rip people off the first time they buy from you, you won’t be in business very long.

5) Set up a solid business platform – When building an online business from home it is important that you put in the groundwork first and you get it right. I am off course referring to your website, your lead capture pages and your email auto responder. These three things are the bare bones of your online business from home and you must have them in place before you start marketing. If not you are setting yourself up to fail.

6) Study one or two marketing methods first – Pick two marketing methods to begin with, study them, implement them and master them. It is far better to become a master of one strategy first. If you try and implement too many to begin with you will become bogged down and do nothing.

7) Create a marketing schedule – If you don’t advertise your business people will not magically just find it, they need to know you exist. Set up a schedule for your marketing so some form of marketing happens every day. If you fail to schedule your marketing you can bet you will not be doing the amount of it you should be doing.

8) Plan your work – Working online is possibly the most distracting place in the world to be working. Before you know it, a couple of click of your mouse has taken you way off on the internet and you have done nothing towards your business. My top tip for building an online business from home is to never ever sit down at your computer without a strict schedule for what you want to achieve and get done within that time frame.

So there you have my 8 top tips to help you build an online business from home. If you implement them to your business you will be surprised as to how efficient you will become and how targeted your business efforts will be, allowing your business to grow in record time.

Drop Ship Tips: Minimizing Backorders

Posted by

by Stuart Lisonbee

When drop shipping, you lose some control over inventory levels, leaving it in the hands of your supplier. This increases the potential that a backorder situation can occur without your knowledge.

The truth is, there is no way to guarantee that an item will be in stock. This is a simple fact of drop shipping. It is a trade off, but one that we think is well worth the benefits. Once you’ve learned how to reduce the possibility of a backorder the benefits of drop shipping become even greater. Here are some top tips for minimizing backorders with your drop ship business.

Monitor Quantities on Hand (QOH)

The most obvious thing you can do to protect yourself from backorders is to closely monitor quantities. Doba provides a data export tool that can help you monitor supplier inventories. If you are able, monitor quantity trends before listing an item in an auction.

If selling items at an online auction, you’ll typically want to only list items that have a large number of items in stock. However, if you have monitored quantities before hand and notice a product isn’t “flying off the shelves”, you may be comfortable selling items that have a lower number of items in stock.

Run Shorter Auctions

I once listed an item on eBay® that had only one item left in stock. Even though I knew the item to be a slow moving item, listing something with a quantity of just one had me a little worried.

As such, I decided to run a three day auction. The faster the auction got over with, the sooner I could drop ship the item to my customer, and the less I would have to worry about it. I wasn’t concerned about losing potential business from having a shorter auction because listings typically get the most views and bids in the last 24 hours anyway.

Cancel the Auction if the QOH Reaches Zero

Along with monitoring QOH’s before listing an item, you’ll want to continue monitoring quantities throughout the auction. If you notice quantities dropping each day, you’ll want to keep an even closer eye on it.

You can’t drop ship an item that isn’t there. If the quantity ever reaches zero, go into your auction right away and end it early.

Drop Ship an Item to Yourself to “Pad” your Inventory

Shipping a few items to yourself to pad your inventory is perhaps the most effective fail-safe to prevent backorders from having a negative impact. This is particularly advisable for items that are regular sellers for you.

Usually, you’ll only need to keep one or two items in your personal inventory, even if you typically have several auctions with the same item running simultaneously.

If an item goes out of stock, you’ll always have the one or two items on hand that you can ship out and still have time to go through and end all your other auctions early until the item comes back into stock.

Online Product Guide: 3 Tips to Customize your Ebook’s Layout

Posted by

Many people hard to decide what is the best layout format should they use to create an eBook. When I create my eBook for the first time, I made a mistake so many of my customers complained to me to reform my eBook. Make sure that doesn’t happen to you. I will cover 3 aspects of documents layout and explain to you why it should be the best. They are font type, number of pages, and page size.

First is font type. What type of font should you use to form an eBook? Don’t try to use any other fonts beside the fonts that are readily installed in most PCs around the world. Those fonts are arial, verdana, times new roman, georgia, and courier new. If you encouraging your readers to print your eBook, then you better write your eBook in Times New Roman. It is the best font to read in printed format. Otherwise, if you encourage your readers to read your eBook in the computer, you should use an arial type. Arial is the best font to read easily on screen.

Don’t use another fonts that you downloaded, unless you embed them in your eBook or reprint them in image format. To embed your font in your eBook, you should customize the settings of the third party program that you used to compile the PDF format. Of course your eBook size will be higher by embedding the fonts inside it.

Second is number of pages. Many readers expect the number of pages to go in an almost proportion with the price. If your product is priced at .00, the readers are expecting more pages of quality information around 70-80 pages. If your eBook have less than 20 pages, then it’s usually considered as “reports” while more than 20 pages is considered “eBooks”. Try to reach more pages so your reader will be quite satisfied. Give a reference pages and introduction page. Try to give more example and explanation to have more quality contents.

Third is the page size. Always keep your pages in letter sized. Everyone in Western side of the world are using letter-sized papers. They will prefer to have your eBook in letter sized so they can print your eBook. Unless you are trying to sell your eBook to the Eastern side, then another format like A4 is optional.
