The first resume type is functional resume and the second is chronological resume. Those two types of resume are distinguished by what each of those resume types emphasizes. The first resume type, the functional resume, emphasizes the reporting of your skills and adeptness more than the chronological timeline of your life. This resume type thus doesn’t intend to list all of your personal records, including job history, educational history, etc. chronologically, but it only intends to exhibit your skills and competence.
The second resume type is chronological resume. Unlike the first resume type, this resume type lists your personal records chronologically. It comprehensively and chronologically lists your work history and educational records so that everyone who reads it can figure out your history easily. Choosing one of those two resume types entirely depends on your preference; however, when you have chosen one of them in your resume writing, you should not mix your choice with the other.
